One Saturday in September we spent our day in a muddy field (in the pouring rain!) as we hosted a stand at this year’s Penistone Agricultural Show. Thank you to all of the lovely people we met.
It was our second visit to Penistone Show so we knew our way around, but our first time actually hosting a stand. We were excited but a little apprehensive as the rain started and continued to get heavier.
We set up our stand at the showground; we took a varied range of Ushiwear products such as our snapbacks, beanies and rucksacks and
a collection of men’s, women’s and children’s wear. Also, for the first time we handed out our specially made Ushiwear stickers with each purchase.
Despite the wet weather the show was a great success, showcasing all areas of agriculture from food to cattle and of course fashion. The star of the show was hand-reared sheep Freddie, the mascot of the Show who even now comes with his own hashtag and t-shirts.
Before we left, we managed to sneak in time to sample some of the food at the show; which was sublime. Sadly I missed the Chorizo Pork Pie stall which looked delicious, definitely one to sample next year.
Thank you Penistone Show for a wonderful day, here’s to next year!
Lots of love Jilly x
